This Hybrid's Story

An offensive hybrid with high yield potential in average to above average yield environments. With average emergence, this medium statured hybrid will build a soft, showy canopy. Excellent northern movement with very good late season health and dry down. Yield is derived from a very girthy ear, sporting 18-22 rows around and large deep kernels. Strong Goss Wilt tolerance will allow this hybrid to move west, however placement still favors better soils and rotated acres. Outstanding yield potential with excellent agronomics and eye appeal will allow 83-31 to be a yield leader within 80-84 RM maturity range.

This Hybrid's Story

Exciting all purpose to defensive hybrid with good stress tolerance for the west. 85-10 is a strong emerger with good early vigor allowing it to perform in all tillage systems and build a quick canopy. Solid roots and stalks combined with great late plant health contribute to a tough all around plant. The semi flex ear performs well at moderate to higher populations and builds yield with its ear length and kernal depth. Strong Goss’ Wilt tolerance and a good overall disease package aid in the adaptability across this maturity. 85-10 plant size and grain yield lend to dual purpose potential. PowerCore® Enlist® adds the ability to apply Liberty® herbicide to this product.

This Hybrid's Story

Strong north-west corn belt defense. Establishes a great foundation early with excellent emergence and uniformity out of cool soils. A very good in season stalk builds a medium-tall plant with good canopy. The strong root system provides stability and increases the drought tolerance, allowing for movement west in the northern belt. Ear flex is very good and responds to moderate seeding rates and would avoid high planting populations. Good Goss’ Wilt tolerance though a bit lower defense against anthracnose and will want to monitor late stalks. Best performance west of the Red River Valley.
